About

I received BSc in Industrial Computing (1st Class Honours) in 2010 and PhD in Industrial Computing in 2014 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. I was a visiting researcher in HIT Lab, New Zealand, which they focus on designing new ways of supporting people in their everyday lives, be it at work, play, or school.

Currently, I’m a Senior Lecturer at Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Technology, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. My research interests include virtual reality, augmented reality, human computer interaction and mobile.

Teaching

2015 - 2016

Virtual Reality

This course introduces the basic concept of Virtual Reality (VR) which includes VR definition and its history. Students will be exposed to different types of VR systems, the use of specific hardware and software in VR systems and the architecture of a VR system. The concept of 3D modeling and virtual environement which are the basis of a VR system will be introduced to the students. The effect of using VR to human, the recent trends and issues of VR technology will be discussed. At the end of this course, students will apply the basic concept of VR technology by developing a VR system with a good interface and apply 3D interaction technique in the virtual environment

2015 - Now

Mobile Programming

This course will teach fundamental of the mobile app development using Android platform. Topics will include important element in the android app development such as user interface design, user interface building, list view, data handling, fragment, threading and sensor. This course will focus heavily on in-lab participation, out-of-class assignments, and mobile app development project. Students are expected to work on a project that produces a basic mobile app. Students should already have a familiarity with Java, an understanding of basic object-oriented programming, basic algorithms and data structures. Course projects will be written in Java for the Android platform using the Android SDK

Mobile App Development Club (MAD CLUB)

MAD Club is a platform that will benefit all UKM undergraduate students where a student can join with willingness to learn about the mobile app field. Members will gain the experience of mobile appdevelopment through a series of activities and event organized by the club under the guidance of lecturers and coaches. The activities enabling members to work in a group to turn their mobile app idea into a real app. Opportunities available for members include workshops, student-led projects, and competition of mobile app development. This group will help MAD Club members interact with each other better.
