Center For Artificial Intelligence Technology, also known by CAIT is a center of excellent at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The center’s main purpose is the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques and methods to support various disciplines through research, teaching and consultancy. Among our current fully funded researches are : Fuzzy Tabu-based Optimization for Job Shop Scheduling, The Preservation of Old Malay Manuscripts through JawiWare, University Timetabling, The Development of Malaysian Medical Data Mining, Intelligent Data Miner, Agent-based Rough Set Data Mining Tool and  Construction and Implementation of Efficient Numerical Methods for Wave Propagations.

 

CAIT is active in many major areas of AI. However , our main research activities centre around four focus groups: Data Mining and Optimization, Pattern Recognition, Knowledge Technology and Industrial Computing. Our research is funded in part by grants (both internally (UKM) and externally (GUP, FRGS, ScienceFUND, IRPA)) and contract researches.

  • TERUJA

    Transliteration Engine for Rumi to Jawi (TERUJA)

    TERUJA is a quality product from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. TERUJA is a abbreviation of the Transliteration Engine for Rumi to Jawi. By using the transliteration engine, it will be used in any software with web services methods. This product has received the Gold medal at the International Innovation and Technology (ITEX'09) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 15 to 17 May 2009. For more information and to use this service, you can continue to address http://www.jawi.ukm.my. You'll be thrilled! Hopefully UKM will be advance in the creation and continued research on Jawi.

  • KURSI

    Kemudahan Urus Sidang (KURSI)

    KURSI is an acronym for ‘Kemudahan Urus Sidang’ or in English ‘Conference Management Facilities’ .Currently, KURSI is a free web-based conference management system hosted by the Data Mining and Optimization Research Group, Center for Artificial Intelligence Technology of UKM.KURSI is an Arabic word which means CHAIR in English. KURSI has been designed to help conference and workshop chairs and its committee to manage the conference, especially the complexity of refereeing process.In fact, Kursi is flexible enough to have been used for evaluating project proposal. Currently, KURSI only support conferences with a single programme committee.

Our Strength

As a nonprofit Research institute, CAIT can carry out comprehensive and effective long-term programs.

At the same time, our researchers reciprocate by participating in ongoing projects abroad.

Objective

To conduct advanced research in artificial intelligence for scientific needs, government and business and produce competent researchers in artificial intelligence research.

Our Goal

The goal of the CAIT is to generating intellectual property and artificial intelligence-based products that have high added value to be commercialized.

For using special positions

Special positions are: sticky_left, sticky_right, notice, tool_bottom. You can use them for any module type. For using this, please go to Module Manager and config your module to your desired position.

You can disable by:

  • Go to Administrator » Template Manager » Your_Template » Tab: Advanced » Use special positions » select: No for all special positions
  • Go to Administrator » Module magager » Your_Module(by postion: sticky_left/stickey_right/notice/tool_bottom) » Status: Unpublish for that module

For customize module in special position

The solution is using Module Class Suffix. You can customize button, module content follow Module Class Suffix

E.g. Module Class Suffix: bg-white @bullhorn then:
- Class of buttom is 'ico-bullhorn'. If without @... the default is 'icon-pushpin'
- Class of module is 'bg-white'
